Afrolatin music at it's best
I have been waiting for a long time to hear some music like this. It sounds Brazilian, but is totally African. The percusion section is some of the best I have ever heard. Horns are super funky, it all sounds so organic, funky humans letting rip! Baranta's team of musicians have really come up with something different and they aren't afraid to experiment in new directions, as well as keeping "old skool" values alive.

Irresistable, irrepressible Afro fusion
Loved the whole album. Aptly titled Spirit of Music, here an irrepressible African spirit plays across boundaries of culture and language, time and place, genre and rhythm - often with an ironic smile yet irresistably open and optimistic.
